On March 8, 2026, a family of ten hunters, arrived in East London to be greeted by Aubrey, a wonderful person from Huntershill Safaris. Aubrey quickly loaded our gear, and we were off to Huntershill Game Range. Upon arrival we were personally welcomed by Simon Harvey and his great staff.
The accommodations were inviting and wonderful.  Each married couple and singles had their own attractive rooms.  Every meal was excellent, prepared by a professional chef of 17 years, Timothy, no better in all Africa .  Breakfast was served at 7:00 am and if needed earlier, we took breakfast with us.
Each hunter, granddaughters, husbands, a son, grandson and two other family members  had their wish list. Everyone was able to bag every species he or she had ever dreamed of.
We had three of the best Professional Hunters (PHs) in all of Africa. Patrick, Bosie, and Brett all rolled into five days of morning to night or extensive hunting. Laughing, joking, walking, running, stalking, and celebrating, developed into total comradery between hunters and PHs. Those were the best days of any hunting trip I have ever been on.
Each animal was of the highest quality, trophy class, and numerous. There never was a day each hunter did not find the species he or she had on their list and if needed more than one opportunity to do so.
I have hunted for decades but I have never had a greater and more enjoyable experience in every aspect of hunting than this hunting experience. Not only did I feel this way, but the other nine hunters felt exactly the same. THE BEST EVER!  GO TO HUNTERSHILL SAFARIS!

There was 10 of us in the party and it was absolutely amazing. From the time that Aubrey picked us up at the airport to leaving that last morning - it was the trip of a lifetime. The accommodations are first class, the food is amazing, the service is incredible, the animals are so beautiful and everything about the trip was just great. Our guides (Boise, Patrick (great Hunter), and Brett) we're the best & they became friends by the time we left. Simon greeted us in person on the first day and every day we were there. He and the staff are top-notch, could not ask for better. There is so much to do and see the days fly by and before you know it it's time to go. We're getting ready to book again and sounds like we're going to be taking at least a group of 10 or more this next time. A huge thank you to everybody at Huntershill who made this the trip of a lifetime!

The attention to detail is second to none in every aspect of the experience, from the quality and quantity of animals, lodging, PH and Trackers and of course the food. My entire family had the time of their lives.  Trophy animals were abundant and we saw a variety of game from sun up to sun down. Our PH Dylan worked very hard to get us on the animals and was absolutely outstanding as we took several trophies and learned a lot along the way. We hunted for every animal.  The food was amazing(every meal!) and the entire lodge staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and satisfied. The scenery and accommodations were unbelievable as well. In planning the trip Simon was beyond helpful and communication was great, as we came on short notice. While headed home we encountered some weather related delays back in the US, Simon assisted us in every way possible, even though we had already departed the lodge. This is the type of outfit where you leave as part of the family. We will 100% be back again

I went back in August 2024 with my father and it was an even better trip.  Everything was great from the staff to the lodging to the food to the hunting.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My first hunt in Africa (July 27-Aug 4, 2024j with Simon as PH was a fantastic experience and a complete success! I did a custom package that consisted of Cape Buffalo, Kudu, Nyala, Blesbuck, Common Springbuck, Impala and Zebra. The hunts and shots were challenging especially for a Texas Hunter accustomed to sitting in a blind and making 100 yard shots. My longest shot was 480 yards on a Kudu from the side of a large hill with a dialed in Sako 7 mm mag rifle. My PH was very selective on the animals (at my request) and his relentless pursuit of those animals was impressive. The food and lodging was also outstanding. We ate a lot of wild game and it was very well prepared and tasted like prime beef. The terrain at Huntershill was also spectacular as the 55,000 acre property consisted of both beautiful mountain ranges and vast grassy plains. These guys are very sociable and sitting around the campfire in the evening after dinner with some adult beverages was so much fun and very entertaining. My room was very large and kept squeaky clean at all times. We had a day to spare before departing so the PH’s (Simon, AK and James B.) took our hunting party of 4 golfing at Katberg (a few hours away) and what a beautiful and very challenging course in the mountains. Thank you Simon and other staff at Huntershill for the wonderful memories!! In summary, I will be returning because every aspect of my experience at Huntershill was exceptional!!

My 14 year old daughter and myself are still thunderstruck on how amazing our first safari went.   Beyond expectations!  From the minute we landed in Port Elizabeth, to the return trip back to the airport, I have nothing but the highest praise for this organization.   This operation is an extremely well oiled machine.  After discussing Huntershill with other clientele (who have more substantial experience with South African outfitters then we do) it leads to even greater appreciation.  I am led to believe there a substantial number of “sketchy” South African outfitters.  NOT HUNTERSHILL!!  My Professional Hunter Gregg B. was amazing!  A combination of host, big brother, teacher, therapist, & comedian, hands down a top notched professional.    A couple of quick tips:  Don’t overpack.  Only bring about 2 of everything, laundry gets done every day – whether you want it or not.  Use the Professional Hunter’s rifle.  It avoids the hassle of traveling with guns, it is dialed in for longer ranges (200 – 500 yards) and has the added benefit of a silencer (making it more comfortable to shoot).  My daughter & I will most certainly be returning to Huntershill.
